Who to follow
How to find people on Twitter
There are several ways to find people to follow. Below are several resources that many help you.
Twibe: Twibes are organically created groups that you are able to join. For example, you can join a Twibe that is created for higher ed or you can create a Twibe for your campus. There is no limit to the number of Twibes you can join but here are some you might want to try: sachat (Student Affairs Professionals) sagrad (Student Affairs Grad Students) & HigherEd (For all higher ed tweeters)
We Follow: Wefollow is a place to add your Twitter account to 3 identifying groups. For example, I am listed in highereducation, studentaffairs, blogger, & podcaster. It also allows you to enter a city so you can follow people near you.
Twellow: Twellow is basically the yellow pages for Twitter. You can easily search by category and read people’s profile and follow people you are interested in.
Twitter Grader: Twitter Grader is a great resource offered by HubSpot. Twitter Grader can find top users in your city, and allows you to search key words in user profiles.
Twitter List: Twitter has also given people the ability to create their own lists. If you want to find some good people check out the following lists:
