SXSW Interactive Festival is a 5 day gathering of emerging technology leaders that takes place in Austin, TX every March. This year, student affairs professionals can have a voice at the event for the first time, but we need your help by giving it your thumbs up. The voting deadline is at 11:59 CT on Friday, August 27 so you need to vote today.
I have a panel proposal with Anya Kamenetz (Author of DIY U and staff writer for Fast Company Magazine) and Laura Pasquini (Co-Host of Campus Tech Connection podcast and PhD student in Education Technology). The panel title is The New University: Technology is Transforming Higher Education.
There is also a solo presentation proposed by Student Affairs Superstar, Rey Junco, from Lock Haven University. His presentation, Using Twitter to Improve College Student Engagement, will discuss the effect of social media and student development.
You can find out more information about the Panel Picker here.
