Ever since Erin Weed joined us on the podcast , I have had an increased awareness of news stories that involve violence on campuses. I wanted to point you to a series of stories titled Seeking Justice For Campus Rapes, that aired on NPR in collaboration with the Center for Public Integrity.
Based on research from the U.S. Department of Justice, they estimate 1 in 5 female students will be sexually assaulted, leading them to the conclusion, “…colleges and universities have failed to protect women from this epidemic of sexual assault.”
We need to change the campus culture of safety and sexual assault. I am excited Erin Weed will join us for the BreakDrink Conference presenting “16 Ways We Can Make Our Campuses Safer.”
