If you are not up to date on your ACPA and NASPA news you may not be aware the two organizations are in the process of unifying into one organization. In December both organizations respective leadership teams approved a resolution that takes them one step closer to the unification. Leadership from both organizations will meet in late January in Washington DC to take the next steps in this merger.
Both organizations have information about the unification on their website, and ACPA’s president Dr Tom Jackson is writing about it on his blog. If you are a member of either of these organizations I would encourage you to read their websites, FAQ’s, and provide feedback.

I find the possibility of the merger intriguing. In a profession where tradition and history guides much of what we do, it is exciting to think there is a time where a new chapter is being written in our profession.
